Poderoso huracán Irma mantiene a República Dominicana en expectativa tras llegar a categoría 5

Santo Domingo.- La Oficina Nacional de Meteorología ONAMET mantiene un Alerta de condiciones de HURACÁN desde Cabo Engaño hasta Bahía de Manzanillo, y un Alerta de condiciones de TORMENTA desde Cabo Engaño hasta La Isla Saona, incluyendo a localidades del interior de la zona este, noreste, norte y noroeste del territorio dominicano.

Anoche la directora de Meteorología, ingeniera Gloria Ceballos, informó que el huracán Irma avanzaba hacia las Antillas Menores(Antigua y Barbuda), con vientos de 295kph y que se movía hacia el oeste a 24kph.

UN ALERTA SIGNIFICA QUE EN UN PERÍODO DE 48 HORAS O MENOS, PUNTOS DEL PERÍMETRO COSTERO ASÍ COMO LOCALIDADES QUE ESTÉN BAJO ALERTA PODRÍAN SENTIR AL MENOS UNO O DOS DE LOS EFECTOS ASOCIADOS AL SISTEMA TROPICAL, COMO SON LAS LLUVIAS INTENSAS, VIENTOS FUERTES, ASÍ COMO MAREAS U OLAS ANORMALES.
